As a hand loader toss Saami out the window and load the 230 where it wants to be, the CA should have a good bit of space in the magazine to load the nosler long with the berger. Prc is likely easier, and has more affordable and more long range oriented factory ammo choices. I chose the PRC, so I prefer that obviously.

Other than spiking pressure in this case it doesn’t seem to me like it would be dangerous assuming pressure doesn’t go over the limit. In the case of the really long rounds it seems like the lands would push the bullets back into the case to a safe jam length. It seems to me this would be a great way to fireform- just load way way long.

Looking for help here. I'm trying to work up a load for my Bergara B14 HMR Wilderness in 6.5 PRC. It seems to like the 143gr ELD-X in the factory loads so my first idea was to stay with that bullet, but like everything else I can't find any. I have some 135gr Berger Classic Hunters that I loaded... Their answer was to use a 140gr EDL Match bullet over 41.5gr H4350 with an OAL of 2.810" . They used a Federal Good Medal 210M primer. Tested velocity was 2710 fps. I am thinking of switching from Hornady bullets to Berger bullets but am torn on what route to go with in my custom 6.5-284. It has a Douglas 1-8 twist with a 26" barrel. It's a heavy gun coming right in at 16 pounds with bipod and scope but it shoots lights out.

I’m sure you could find a load that will work with h4350, but will it do what you want accuracy and velocity wise I have no idea. I’ve used Norma mpr, h1000, and rl26 with good results.
